Pātea Pou
Pātea Pou (Pātea, New Zealand)
'Pātea Pou' - another beautiful marine-based artwork is underway to be installed in Pātea later this year! Corten steel sculptures to be attached to existing poles on the way down to Pātea beach. Design work by Pātea Area School students – supported by Project Reef Life, Creative Communities South Taranaki and technical support and cutting from Reid Machining and Engineering Ltd, and others in the community who have kindly offered their expertise and time. Huge thank you to Reid's for enabling the Pātea Area School students to experience the marvel of water-jet cutting and the technology behind it! We're always inspired by the photographs we receive of the Pātea Pou!

REEF ANIMATIONS
REEF LIFE ANIMATIONS (Reef Revolution Film)
In September of 2019, Project Reef media lead Rebecca led Pātea Area School and Hawera High School students in a drawing lesson which enabled student's drawings to be collected and turned into animations for the Reef Revolution short documentary on Project Reef Life.
A big thank you to Jess Tipping who created these animations & in doing so brought students reef drawings to life!
